Does Sandi rapid made company provide design service?

No, we don’t do design, we only provide the technical support for prototyping and manufacturing services when client already have the 3D and 2D file which needs design verification or production. We can provide the suggestion and solution for the friendly machining or manufacturing drawing needs after review upon your orders.

Is it possible to get a quote from the picture?

Not able to quote according to the picture, will need to know the part size, finish detail, functional design internal and external, size of the under-cut, Radius, and holes.

Is it possible to make the product if I only have the part sample at hand?

 If for simple shells product, yes, we can do 3D scanning to get the file for prototyping and samples, or using vacuum casting for the products copy. This will depend on the part detail, size and parts status provide. But it will be better to get the 3D file to avoid the functional and demission different. 

What type of design file format does Sandi rapid made company prefer?

For RFQ, 3D file in STEP/STP, X_T, IGS, STL, will be fine. 2D drawing will prefer the PDF with the material required, tolerance and main dimensions.

For both prototyping and production we will prefer STEP file and 2D drawing in PDF with details.

What kind of design will be CNC machined friendly and cheaper?

For functional prototype, if has no impact on the assembly, radius on edge, on root of rib and corners will be bigger the faster. Especially on metal parts which will require EDM to do the radius clean, cost and lead time raise. For appearance parts, split and bond if acceptable, will be faster and cheaper 

How can I make sure my design is under confidential?

We are doing business around the world providing supports for those designers in research and development department, and for end clients the production manufacturing. We totally understand the important for their unpublished product confidential, we keep confidential for everyone so that our business can last long, and we accept all kind of NDA signed and seal.

How long will it take to have the quotation?

For any inquiries, we will reply within 24 hours, if it is prototype project, quotation will be share within these 24 hours, as for low volume manufacturing will be within 1-2 days, and Injection molding inquiry, will be within 1-3 days unless otherwise urgent need.

What is the expected delivery normally?

For prototype parts, if without post-finish can finish around 10 days, and if with post-finish will need around 14 days. 

For rapid tooling, mold time around 25 days and production time7-10 days.

Is the delivery lead time working day or calendar day?

It is the working days 6 days a week excluding Sunday for prototyping, and it is the calendar day for injection molding. For all shipping date will avoid Sundays as Sunday has no shipping express working.

What is the available process for plastic prototype making in Sandi rapid made company?

For plastic prototyping, there are many processes can be chosen in Sandi such as CNC machining for cosmetic and accuracy prototype, 3D printing and SLA/SLS for design structure verify prototypes, Thin plastic bending by heat and fixture for simple sheet plastic parts, and vacuum casting for pre-trial marketing prototypes. 

What is the process for low volume and volume plastic manufacturing?

For plastic manufacturing, mostly will have the rapid tooling and injection molding at the first choice, but depend on the material, lead time, some time will have some other process such as compress molding for silicone and rubber plastic parts, Plastic bending in metal mold for sheet plastic parts in ready texture and color..

What is the available process for metal prototype and production?

For high tolerance metal parts and functional metal prototypes and low volume quantities, CNC machining + EDM, CNC lathing will be the best choice always; if it is complex in structure that CNC not able to make can consider about 3D printing metal or Pipe parts can in Extrusion; and sheet metal parts will be wire cut /laser cut and bend, and for metal mass production, die casting is the good production way. as soon as you needs, we Sandi rapid made company will provide you the suggestion and solution.

What is the material choice from Sandi prototyping?

CNC machining Plastic will used board material frequently like ABS, PC, ABS+PC BLEND, PMMA, POM, PA, PA+GF, PEI, PEEK, PVC, PS and we can check other material required if you need.

CNC machining metal we have Aluminum, Brass, Cooper, Magnisum, Zink, Titanium, Alloys Stainless Steel and so on.

Sheet metaling material we have Aluminum, Copper, and stainless steel.

Aluminum Extrusion will have AL 5052

What is the tolerance for Tolerance standard you follow?

Unless otherwise stated tolerances are to ISO 2768-1 (F for machined metal, M for machined plastic, C for vacuum casting)

-what is the texture and color book Sandi prototyping follow?

Texture we have Mold-tech and VDI and color book we follow pantone color C or RAL.

What post finish treatments can Sandi rapid made company make?

We provide Painting and Plating for prototype parts, injection parts and some metal parts; vapor polish for PC clear part, high gloss clear polish for PMMA lens part; and for some metal prototype parts we provide blasting, brushing, anodized, oxidation, powder coating, keronite, blackening, passivation, heat-treatment and so on. And also silk screens, pad printing and laser etching.
